Ricardo is bright, personable and competent. He is also very thorough. The problem was not what I thought it was, and I'm disappointed to have to pay out money that I wasn't expecting, but the problem appears to be fixed. He installed new wheels, and moved the support bar he installed on the initial installation to reinforce the door panel that had cracked because of stress. He checked the operation of the door multiple times and the alignment of the channels to assure that the wheels ran free and true. I really like this young man.

I was more than a little disappointed that the technician was not equipped to repair anything, except to brace the door itself which had a crack on the edge of one panel, causing the door to sag (which probably caused the problem in the first place). The only option was to spend a lot of money to buy a whole new unit (motor, drive, etc.). One can't even buy the parts separately. That is poor policy, and I believe misrepresented in your ads for repair. As far as I'm concerned, the motor and drive were repairable. I am on a fixed income and cannot afford many such expenditures. I was expecting perhaps a $200-300 cost, and instead had to spend in excess of $600. This is not the technician's fault, it is the policy of the company, which doesn't equip the technician to repair... but merely to replace.
